Things to think about when you’re Planning ahead
What assets do you have? – For example, superannuation, property and investments
Who are your beneficiaries? – The people who will receive your assets
What specific gifts you want to make? – Such as special jewellery or artworks
Who should be your executor? – Usually your spouse, child or close friend.
What funeral arraignments do you want? – Burial or cremation
Who should look after your pets? – Speak to us about provision for pets in your will.
Enduring Power of Attorney:
Who should be your attorney? – They will make property and financial decisions for you
Arrange to sign your Power of Attorney especially before a specially qualified witness and have your attorney accept the appointment
Who should be your guardian? the person who will make your health and lifestyle decisions
What decisions will your guardian make for you?
Do you have any specific directions you would like to give to your guardian?
Arrange for you and your guardian to sign the Enduring Guardian ship document before a specially qualified witness
Advance Care Planning Directives
Discuss your future health and medical care wishes with your family and doctor
Ask your doctor to document you advance care plan in your medical records
Write down any specific health care wishes you may have about your treatment

Decide where to store your planning ahead documents
Your Will can be held in safe deposit by us at no cost or it can be deposited to the Supreme Court of NSW for a fee of $134.00 (as at 16 January 2020)
